Product Test - Febreeze Sleep Serenity

I've just come to the end of testing for free the new Febreeze Sleep Serenity bedroom mist.
I had 3 fragrances to try, warm milk and honey, moonlit lavender and quiet jasmine. The claims for the product are that it helps create an atmosphere for a good nights sleep, but for me personally this doesn't seem to have worked, but after reading comments from other Savvy Circle members it has worked for them.

Going back to the fragrances, I like them all, but my favourite is warm milk and honey, although all of them are pleasant enough. I will continue to use this product as a general air freshener as I like Febreeze products even if it doesn't help me get a better nights' sleep!

Flash Liquid Gel - Product Test

Before
After

The latest product that I have been sent to test for free from Savvy Circle is Flash Liquid-Gel. I have used it for the first time today and can see the results already.

First things first though, the bottle is very easy to handle, even with wet hands and as the product is a gel it is simple to dispense without overusing the product. The design of the cap avoids the awful'drip' that you very often get with normal liquid cleaners.

I have been sent the lemon fragrance to test and it is very pleasant, leaving a lovely smell in my kitchen after using.

As you can see from my pictures I used it on my cooker hob. To be fair it isn't the greatest and the burnt on marks have been there for ages hence not being able to get rid of them all! Saying that, you can certainly see the difference after using this product. I applied it directly to the hob surface, left it for a few minutes before wiping off with a damp sponge and polishing with a dry piece of paper towel. I think if I scrubbed the hob I may have made it even better!

Overall, on first impressions I am very impressed with this product and look forward to using it on other surfaces very soon.

Latest Trial - Optrex Eye Revive Moisture Mist

It's been a while since I've written anything here and since I've had any products to test, but I've been selected by Bzzagent to test for free and review Optrex Eye Revive Moisture Mist.

Having been told by my optician at my last eye test that I had dry eyes (probably something to do with using a computer all day for work) I had been and purchased and had been using a competitors product, so on being chosen for this trial I was quite interested to see how the two compare.

This particular product claims that it can be used on make up without smudging, compared to my usual product that says you cannot. Today for the first time I tried it out over my make up and can say that the claims are true - my make up didn't smudge.

The product is very simple to use, just spray on closed eyelids from approximately 10cm - as long as your aim is good it's easy, not so fiddly as eye drops which I just don't get on with. After use my eyes feel refreshed and comfortable, no itches and stickiness. I have only one negative thing to say about this product, there is a very strange smell when you spray it, a bit like chip oil! But do take note there is a warning on the instruction leaflet that there could be a smell when using the product so I wasn't surprised, but just don't like it very much.

I'm still in two minds as to whether to continue using this product after my trial as even though I can use it over make up the smell is a little off-putting.

Did you Know?

In my previous post I mentioned about trying the new Lenor fabric softener, well now I hope to share with you a couple of videos to show you how new Lenor gives better coverage and how it penetrates your clothes.

I've been using the product for a while now and am very pleased with the results. There is definitely a difference in softness and how long the fragrance lasts compared to previous products that I have used. I think this will be one product that I will continue to use long after the product trial.

Lenor Fabric Softener

Well I've had my latest product through to review. This time it's Lenor Fabric Softener in Spring Awakening and here are my first thoughts.

On opening the bottle the fragrance is not overwhelming or sickly, in fact it's quite pleasant compared to some products that I've used in the past. The instructions on the bottle are very clear, you can decide the softness rating that you need and that determines how much softener you need to use. For example if you use a full cap that will be twice the softness as half a cap.

For my first wash last week I decided to use half a cap to see how I got on. It was easy to measure and add to the drawer, the bottle was easy to grip - I've experienced awkward shaped bottles in the past with disastrous consequences! When the washing had finished I opened the machine door and was welcomed by a lovely smell. The washing was then added to my tumble drier, and as it was drying a lovely smell emanated through my house. After drying the clothes still smelt lovely and felt really soft. After a few days I am finding that they still smell good, just as nice as when they were just washed.

After the first use I really like this product and the Spring Awakening fragrance. I will be interested to see what other fragrances will be coming out.
